About Katy
Katy and her daughter Henrietta live in Cumbria, just five minutes from junction 39 of the M6.
Katy shepherded in the Yorkshire Dales for ten years and in 1990 became the only woman winner of 'One man and his Dog'. This opened many doors. She wrote her autobiography 'A Dog's Life in the Dales' and the BBC filmed 'A year in the life of a shepherdess'. Katy made a sheepdog training video called 'One woman and her dog'.
Regularly competing at Sheepdog trails, Katy has qualified two dogs for National competition.
When she is not competing or displaying at shows, Katy spends her time training Sheepdogs and shepherding on local farms.
