Sheepdog Training

Katy offers sheepdog training at her farm in Cumbria in the North of England.  As one of the world's leading sheepdog trainers, you can rest assured that your dog will be receiving the finest training available. 

Katy will take your dog for a minimum of two weeks.  Over these two weeks the dog's ability is assessed so that Katy can tailor the training specifically for your dogl.  If after the two weeks Katy thinks the dog is unsuitable, the animal will be returned, saving you both time and money.

Katy understands what your dog means to you, and you can rest assured that she feels the same way.  During its stay with Katy your dog will be treated like a member of the family whilst bringing out his or her natural ability and feel for sheep.  Owners are welcome to visit anytime to see how they are making progress.

Katy will take any dog for training but the greener the better.  Dogs will learn the wrong things just as quickly as the right things.  The sooner Katy can start with them the better. 

Within the first few lessons they will be taught at hand which is the basis for all their training.  They will learn to come away quickly from the sheep when called, and most importantly learn the 'stop' command.
